Former deputy Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea has won the race!
Former deputy Prime Minister Liviu Dragnea has become the new president of the Social Democratic Party, after he obtained more votes than Rovana Plumb, who was backed by the former leader, Premier Victor Ponta himself.
Liviu Dragnea has won the race with 65 votes from his colleagues, while Rovana Plumb obtained only 18.
After the results were announced, the new president of the Social Democrats promised that he will stregthen the leading team, and together with the other political parties, he will support the government, leaded by the Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
