PECH Mission to Milan EXPO 2015

               A delegation of five members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries will visit, from 20-22 July, the pavilions of the EU, of EU member states and of third countries most active in the domain of fisheries and aquaculture. They participate in the Expo 2015 to promote sustainable fishing on a global scale, disseminate the knowledge about the new Common Fisheries Policy and communicate the achievements obtained so far. Among other scheduled activities, they will also meet, at the Expo site, with experts of the Joint Research Centre in Ispra and discuss the centre’s activities in the fisheries domain, as one of its research priorities is the safety of products destined for food and feed.
