Vatican’s Spokesperson at the Media 2020 Conference

Giacomo Ghisani, the Head of International Relations and Legal Affairs at Radio Vaticana, participated today to the discussion of the seventh session of the Media 2020 Conference, on Managing and Distributing Content in 2020 Markets – European and Asian Perspectives.

„Internet content and and video production will assume a greater role in Vatican communications in the years to come”.

Giacomo Ghisani was born in Cremona (Italy) in 1969. He has been working at Vatican Radio since 1997. He is currently the Head of International Relations and Legal Affairs as of 2004.

Giacomo Ghisani is member of the Statutes Group of the EBU – European Broadcasting Union (2012) and of the Administrative Council of the Vatican Television Centre (2013). He has been member of the “Vatican Media Committee” (July 2014 – March 2015), which was entrusted to propose reforms for the Vatican Media Sector.

Giacomo Ghisani has a degree in Law at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan (1995) and a Doctorate in Canon Law at the Pontificia Universitas Lateranensis of Rome (2008); the Lateran University Press has published his work on Vatican Radio entitled “La Radio Vaticana tra ordinamento canonico e ordinamento italiano: il caso del presunto inquinamento elettromagnetico” (2009).
