Romanian President to meet the King of Spain

The Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis, will be meeting today during his official visit to Spain with King Felipe VI, the Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, the President of the Senate Pio Garcia-Escudero, as well as with representatives of the Romanian community in Spain.

This visit represents the first official contact as a state leader between the Romanian President and the Spanish Sovereign, who was proclaimed king last year in June.

This is the 11th official visit of the Romanian leader, ever since he became President.
